NOA to enlighten three million Nigerians in each state on five thematic areas.

National Orientation Agency NOA says it is determined enlightened three million Nigerians in each state on the need to be acquainted on 5 thematic areas particularly on Security issues.

The five thematic areas include government policies, programs and activities, flood mitigation and disaster preparedness, National security Awareness, national values Reorientation and the Nigerian Identity project and National Symbol are designed to strengthen citizen awareness, deepen trust in government and promote national unity.

The Director General National Orientation Agency NOA Alhaji Lanre Issa Onlilu stated this during a press conference to flag off nation wide enlightment campaign on the 5 thematic areas held in Bauchi.

Alhaji Lanre Issa Onlilu said this will bridge the gap between government and citizens by ensuring Nigerians are well informed and actively engaged in National development.

Represented by the Director Planning, Research and Statistics Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi,the said citizens from all nocks and crannies of the country would be adequately sensitized on Security and other government policies and programs.

“The campaign will be implemented across the 36 States, the FCT and 774 LGA’s ,with engagements including press conferences, town Hall meetings, school visitations ,motor park and market raliies ,advocacy visits to traditional /leaders and road shows”

Malam Lanre Onlilu called on the citizens of Bauchi state and the country at large to embrace the campaign, participate actively in the engagements and serve as partners in building a stronger, united and prosperous nation.

“Our campaigns are not just information, they are about listening to Nigerians, engaging them ,and fostering a sense of ownership in government programs and policies”

Earlier ,the State Director of the agency Alhaji Nasiru Mahe expressed commitment to play it’s part in the nation wide enlightment campaign.

Alhaji Nasiru Mahe promised to strengthen the bonds between government and citizens ,foster resilience in communities and build a Nigeria where values, security and Unity prevail.
