The Mai Tula, Alhaji Abubakar Buba Atare, has assured the Federal Government of the full support of traditional institutions for the implementation of nine Strategic Catchment Management Plans under the ACReSAL Project.
Speaking in Abuja at the end of the appraisal and validation exercise, the royal father praised the Federal Government and the World Bank for initiating the project, calling it a major step toward sustainable development.
The plans cover catchment areas including Zubgur-Gongola, Gaji-Lamurde, and Hawul-Kilunge across Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Yobe, and Taraba States, with stakeholders pledging their support for successful implementation.
